ICASSP 2024 is pleased to announce that submissions for Student Volunteer Program are now open. 

We are looking for enthusiastic students who are interested in helping us with the administration of the event. Students selected as volunteers will be granted complimentary registration for the conference. Please note that the conference cannot cover travel or accommodation expenses.

• Participate in and learn about the coordination of large events
• Networking with researchers at the conference which is highly valuable for growing your professional network.
• A Certificate of participation in Student Volunteer Program

When not on duty, student volunteers can attend program sessions, as well as coffee breaks. To show our appreciation we invite all volunteers to participate in a closing ceremony on the last day of the event.

Please note that complimentary registration will be provided in the form of a refund for the registration fee. Therefore, if you are interested in the student volunteer opportunity, please register the conference first.

Requirements & Responsibilities
Volunteers will help with tasks such as:

• Support at the registration desk
• Badge checks for technical sessions, reception, and banquet
• Help set up and maintain demos, posters, and exhibits
• Direct participants to the panels, session rooms, booths
• Audio and video support during sessions
• Help members of the organizing committee with other tasks

Student volunteers are required to attend a minimum of four time slots from the options provided below. Additionally, they should possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and demonstrate good communication skills in English.

Please note that if there is a high demand for a specific time slot, adjustments may be made based on the additional time slots you have submitted. Additionally, we kindly ask for your understanding that applications may be rejected if a sufficient number of volunteers have already been accepted.

Volunteers are required to show up 5-10 minutes before their allotted service times and be available to help out for unforeseen surprises, which are difficult to predict.

After submitting your application, you will see an acknowledgment page. We expect to receive more applications than we need, so early application is encouraged.
