VISA Application Guideline

In order to request a Letter of Invitation for Visa to attend ICASSP 2024, you MUST meet one of the following criteria:

  • Have been invited as a speaker at the conference
  • Have an abstract accepted for presentation at the conference
  • Have registered and paid in full for the conference
  • Please refer to the guideline and contact the Secretariat of ICASSP 2024 (visa.icassp2024@mci-group.kr) for any inquiries.

    ICASSP 2024 strongly advise participants to personally check entry and visa requirements before making travel arrangements to Korea. There might be country-specific requirements that the participant should be aware of. For most accurate information, please check the nearest embassy/consulate of the Republic of Korea.

  • The visa application is sole responsibility of the participants.
  • To request for the Letter of Invitation for VISA, participant should first complete the registration process and the payment.
  • ICASSP 2024 will NOT issue any Letter of Sponsorship or Letter of Guarantee if the participant is required to do so by the immigration department. It is the participants’ sole responsibility to obtain such documents.
  • ICASSP 2024 cannot change the decision nor will appeal to any country’s embassy/consulate or any other government departments on behalf of the participant.
  • All questions/concerns regarding the status of visa application should be directed to the nearest embassy/consulate of the Republic of Korea.

    K-ETA is mandatory for nationals of countries/regions, where visa-free entry is available. Nationals of K-ETA eligible countries should apply for K-ETA through K-ETA website or Mobile App (K-ETA).
    *K-ETA approval does not guarantee entry to Korea.
    *K-ETA approval will be refused in any case of submitting false or inaccurate information.

    The assessment may take more than 72 hours.

    2. Photograph (in natural color, size: 3.5cm x 4.5 cm)
    3. Original and a photocopy of passport (should be valid at least 6 months)
    4. A document (or an invitation letter) demonstrating the purpose of entry
